Secret Invasion is a show many people are looking forward too. The cast includes many high profile names. One of those names is Game of Thrones actress Emilia Clarke. However, even with the trailer coming out, nobody knows for sure who she is playing. However, an official Marvel account may have let it slip early.
According to the official Secret Invasion account on Tenor, Emilia Clark is indeed playing Abigail Brand. In a GIF that was posted to the site, the file was named “Its The Beginning Abigail Brand GIF” (shoutout to Streamr for beating us to the punch on this one. We were writing it up as they posted it!)
In the comics, Abigail Brand is the commanding officer of S.W.O.R.D., a S.H.I.E.L.D. offshoot that deals with defending the Earth from extraterrestrial threats like Skrulls. Unlike most heroes, no details regarding her personal life have ever been revealed, but she is known to be around 28 years old when the Secret Invasion begins in the comics.
